Nitto trail grappler first impressions
This morning I finally got my Nitto Trail Grapplers installed! The size is 295 65 20 so they are 35's but not as wide as 35x12.5. I love these tires WAY more than my cooper zeons. I was driving in my grass and romped it a little.....the back tires dug through my grass and down into the dirt underneath. haha it was fun, grass was everywhere. On the highway at about 60mph I notice a little hum from the tires but nothing a cutout and subs wont drown out lol. Overall these tires are great. They ride like a all terrain and become a mud tire when you need them. anyways let me know what yall think, pic is in my sig....cant find a way to add the pic to my post.

Yeah, I don't think you would have made it with a 12.5" wide tire, not with a coil over front. Just not the room the '02-'05 torsion trucks have. Good choice on size...
The rubbing is exactly why I went with a metric size. I only had milimeters of room with the stock tires so I knew 12.5 wouldnt work.

So you just have the 2.5" leveling spacer? Why is it that people on here say that 2.5" causes issues and that 2" is the way to go?? So 295/65/20 is slightly smaller than 35x12.50x20? will the 295/65/20 clear with the 2" leveling?
The 295 65 20 is just as tall as a 35 but only about an inch wider than stock. I dont know what problems the 2.5 spacers have, I take my truck offroading (when it actually rains here) and have had no problems. Maybe its wheel alignment issues or something. You wont have any problems with fitment with a 2inch level. I still have more room for bigger tires with my 2.5 level.
A lot of people report vibration issues on the front end when going more than 2" of level kit on the coil over trucks, some get away with it fine. Generally 2" doesn't cause an issue for anyone.
Also, the higher of an angle you place on the CV axles, the more susceptible they are to failure, especially when you add the weight of larger tires.
Doesn't mean they will, just means the chances are greater...
