2004 6.1 hemi camshaft on 2007 5.7 hemi

Yes if it were a 2500 series without MDS, but even then the gains aren't that great. Lots of info through google and through the search icon.
For all that effort, you get much better gains with a 5.7L grinded cam. They aren;t all that much either.
2007 1500 has MDS. You need to get standard valves to replace the MDS one's or a special MDS grinded cam.

Dunno where you would get a 2003 or 2004 6.1 cam? the 6.1L HEMI's weren't introduced until 2005. Regardless of the year, 6.1 cams are not a popular choice for rams especially QC's.
The 6.1 does gain you some top end power, but sacrifices a good bit of the low end torque which is what you need when your trying to move a 5500 lb truck. Lots of the 6.1 cams are used for regrinds to something with more torque like a crazy spartan, crazy Jay, comp 210, 210X, or FRI sidewinder.

EVERYBODY I know who jumped on the 6.1 cam bandwagon back when it was the "IN THING" has since either gone to a different aftermarket cam or gone back to the 5.7 cam except one guy with a RCSB 4x2.
What Nate and Truckin' said. You gain a tad of top end but loose A LOT of low end torque. Plus if you use a non-MDS cam and MDS ever kicks in - say bye-bye to the engine.
An upgrade that DECREASES performance is NEVER a good upgrade, even if it's free...
