Default Exhaust tips affect Sound?

I have a cherry bomb extreme 2.5 dual out to 3.5 inch tips. Would going to a larger tip affect my sound at all? would it make it deeper ... more high pitched .. or nothing would happen at all? Thanks guys

X2. Think of the larger diameter tip as a megaphone. The larger the tip the deeper the rumble.
