I want a bed lining as well as lining my bumpers, grill, step bars, fender flares, and bottom trim. All quotes for that work have ranged form $900-$1,200. I really don't want to hand out that amount of money. I've been looking into DIY liners and trying to determine the difference. It's a lot cheaper but I'm not sure about the quality and toughness. Does anyone have experience with the different kind of bed liners? Any recommendations?

 

From everything I've heard, a spray-in is much more durable than a roll-on. The prep work is very important with a roll-on. Make sure you have the entire bed sanded, and very thoroughly degreased before applying the liner.

 

Look at Raptor U-Pol. Its not line-x but is a good DIY kit that has a great texture and doesnt seem to fade as bad as most DIY kits or Rhino

 

I put the DIY spray can liner on the inside of my boat this year (got tired of the stinky carpet), and for 6 bucks a can i am suprised how well it sprayed on and how tough the stuff is.

 

Looked into the Raptor U-Pol and I like it. For 75% less I can do it myself. I'll take that any day. I asked my local fabrication shop, who sells Rhino lining, abut Raptor and they guy said it's the best DIY system out there. He swore by it. Of course he still said Rhino and Line-x are going to be better and he still recommended I do it professionally. But he said if I stay stubborn and go with the DIY approach. Raptor is the way to go. I'm sold.

 

Try Monsta Liner. I know a ton of guys locally that cover their cherokees in this stuff and looks great! Holds up awesome on the trails and you can even get it color matched. I have been wanting to get a gallon for my bed, but of course (MONEY) boo

 

Have the bed professionally done. The bed takes all the abuse from hauling, throwing things in and out of it. The bumpers, grill and panels done take anywhere near that kind of abuse. Do the rest yourself and of course as said earlier, PREP-WORK is everything.

 

Get a BedRug....had mine since 2006 and I love it

 

I had the Line X sprayed in my bed. It's thick and tough. Abit on the expensive side but well worth it IMO. It's taken everything that's hit it with no problems. I have a few buddies that really abuse it and have absolutely no problems.

I had my truck done by a shop. Some of the people I talked to prior to getting it done said that you have to be very care full with the color matching liner because it can fade and then it looks pretty bad so i went with black all the way around and really like the look.
