I had my tri-fold tonneau cover come off while driving on Sunday. I just went over a rail-road track and was going around 30-40 MPH and it just came off. I think the front clamps became loose and disconnected from the side rails allowing the wind to left the cover up and rip it from the truck.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this sort of issue.

 

Nope, I've had two soft covers on two different trucks and never had one come loose.

 

Well, I doubt the clamps just 'came loose'.. they probably had been working their way loose for a while and that track just shook them the rest of the way. Sorry to hear about your bad luck..

Good news. I just need to send them in a peice of fabric with the model number and they are going to send my a replacement cover. Interesting is the modem number is incorrect. It appears that I have a ford cover for an 8' bed instead of the dodge. This probably made the clamps not line up as well because I believe the dodge bed is slightly wider than the ford bed at the rails. I have the receipt and I did order the Dodge cover.
