Smile Larger exhaust tips DO change the sound!

My truck is proof. I have been told so many times that larger tips will not change the sound of my exhaust... well truth be told. I went from a 3.5x18 to a 4x24 and the difference is very noticable. It sounds like something new all together. I have a cherry bomb extreme on there already but adding the larger tips made it deeper and it really rumbles. the larger tips were definately worth it.

Just thought i would share.

Still flowing thru the same pipe and muffler. Perhaps if the outlets were moved in or out away from the body it would have some effect.

I played with the tip that came with my DB exhaust plus trying the old split tip and a resonated tip I had. Got a different sound with all of them.
