Hey, hey! Indeed, I will. Going to learn how to do a LOT on this truck now that it is here. Failed the exhaust by ONE decibel. Dammit. Oh well. Hopefully I can get that done here on base on Wednesday, then this fender flare thing shouldn't be a big deal and I can get it all legal-like before the 24th when my temp runs out. How long have you been over here?

Haven't been to Bamberg yet, but I hear it has nice... culture.

Ya...know what you mean...I plan on running a 2 inch level and some other stuff. I still have another 1 1/2 years on my inspection. LOL! A couple of years ago my mustang passed by .1 decibels...
Heard the same about K-Town....Gonna have to take another trip up that way. If you come down here, let me know...Beer is on me. Been over here since 2001. Decided to stay here after a trip downrange.

Thanks for the info.

I'll do that. They're going on Wednesday. According to the instructions...it starts at stock -- .67'', 1.34'', and 2'' lift. I think I'll go 1 notch from the top. I do some hauling so I don't want the front end sticking clear up in the air.

Ok, hopefully someone can answer this. I had a set ordered. I spoke with 4Wheel Parts and told them it was for an '05 with 2" of lift in the front, and specified it was a torsion bar crank. Thought we were good to go. I got an e-mail yesterday from them saying that after further research, that part will not work with my '05 truck. I knew that it needed the strut assemblies (as specified that it may cost extra, blah, blah, blah...). I told them that I KNOW they make a shock/strut that works, because there are other '05's out there with 5100's on it. He still said they didn't have a part to fit my needs.

Soooo... WTF? I know there are '05's with 5100's in the front (all around, actually). I read Hammer's part # thread, but I'm still confused as to what I need in order for them to work on my '05. There are other torsion bar trucks on the forum here with Bilstein 5100's. What/how did you guys do it?

I got the new Bilstein's installed today. It took the shop 6 hours to put 'em on...apparently they had a little trouble getting the lower right front mounting bolt off. Oh...and they didn't get the left front tie rod tight (where it connects to the sway bar). I had to do that myself tonight after crawling around underneath for 30 minutes. Glad I found it cause I'm leaving to go deer hunting tomorrow.

Anyway...I had them set the adjustment one notch down from the top and it gave me right at 1'' of lift. I was hoping for a tad more, but I'm happy with it. They definately improved the ride.

Do they increase the CV and balljoint angles anything like a strut spacer does?
