Default Bilstein 5100's

Got a set of Bilstein 5100's on the way. They should be here Monday afternoon and going on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'm debating on whether I should crank the fronts all the way up or leave them one notch down from the top.

Any suggestions?

Default 5100s

I put mine all the way up, and it set my truck level.
I was worried about the angle of the cv's but it doesn't
seem to exteme. The truck rides pretty well with them
on. I haven't had aproblem yet.
Good Luck,
Will

Just did mine today, did anyone have trouble with the lower strut bolt that connects to the lower control arm?? It was impossible to get out, i had to cut the shock mounts on the old shocks off, but other than that, truck looks and feels and drives much better, i love it so far

Ordered some so I can do a TB crank, hopefully next weekend.

Dumb question, possibly, but I've read on here of people having 5100's all the way around. Is it the same shock for front and rear, just unadjusted for height for the rears?

No, the rears are just shock absorbers, they do not lift the rear at all.

I understand that the rears are not for any sort of lift. However, I've seen them sold in sets of 4 before. Is there a construction difference between two of them in the set (ie: specific front and rear shocks)? There's no differentiation made in nomenclature, just says "set of 4 Bilstein 5100 shocks".

The front two are strut assemblies, and the rear two are shocks. So yes, they are very different; same model number, different part numbers.
