Default 02'Ram Get HemiDak-Quads 2004 Hemi."PICS"

To all who followed my 2001 Dakota Quad cab to 04'-Hemi Transplant under Dakota Hemi Swap With Pics!!!!!" "Thank you", but as those who did know my truck was totaled thanks to a MORON in Florida that don't know how to drive..
After months of searching for something to put this 2004-Hemi in , A lot of vehicles were considered including a 1997 Jeep Wrangler, and another dakota..
But as luck "OR faith" would have it , I came across this 2002 Dodge Ram Quad Cab with a messed up 4.7 ..It's a good looking truck with not much needed to make perfect. It don't have power windows , Heated Seats, heated mirrors or any of those things, It's just a plain Jane truck. But for what I paid I can't complain , So here goes..

I hope the pictures I put on here will get through If so, Check it out,It should be pretty interesting to see how this turns out...

Sorry- I can't get pics to upload..I have to figure it out..Coming-Soon I hope ...

Never owned a 4.7L, so I can't vote. Love my Hemi, though

Use photobucket....

I have a Hemi in my 08, but a 4.7L in my old 03. The 4.7L was a pretty damn good engine, just a little underpowered for the Ram. It got good gas mileage, sounded great, and did just fine as long as you were on flat ground on a calm day. If the wind picked up, fuel mileage suffered big time, or if climbing any kind of grade. Also the transmission seemed to search for the right gear a lot, but I chalked that up to the engine just being underpowered for the big truck. The 4.7L is a solid engine though, but much better paired to a Cherokee or Dakota.

My dad's Ram has a 4.7. It runs pretty good. I can fly up hills pretty well, he never gets on it, but I have driven my friend's 02 4.7 Ram and her truck will FLY. Pulls hard all the way. Then again, it IS a SCSB, but still. Towing they lack a little bit, but they weren't really geared for heavy towing. A Cummins is better for that.

I can't vote because I don't fit a category. I'm satisfied, but not happy with it. MUCH rather have the HEMI, which makes more HP than the 4.7L (stock) and gets basically the same MPG. I'm satisfied because I got the truck cheap, and with my current mods, should be close to the stock HEMI HP-wise. Even though I wish I had the 5.7L, I would never replace the engine, but the truck will certainly be replaced when I have the cash for an '07 5.9L CTD megacab 4x4. I want the megacab for passenger room, and I don't think the HEMI has the power I'm looking for in a truck that big and heavy.

+1 on what Brandon wants. Except I just want a QC. But I love my HEMI, sometimes the gas mileage gives me doubts but then I press the gas pedal and I just dont care anymore =)
