I wasnt sure if the door panel would go back in all the way if I did that. Anyway I found some JVC 6x9's that fit in the front door. This time it only took me an hour to actually install the speakers in the door and put the panels back on.

Now, Ive decided Im gonna put a single 10 or 12 in the area behind the seats. Does anyone have any insight into what box I should get that will fit right in the area behind the seats in a single cab?

The door panels on my truck are among the easiest I have ever had to deal with.

I was just making an observation, no need to be sarcastic about it. You have been around long enough to make over 1k posts, one would assume that you have learned the difference between a ratchet and rat schitt by now.

Did you use the factory spacers? I unclipped them from the stock speakers and put them on the Pioneers and they fit flush. The Sony's fit the same way with spacers.

I never tried the Pioneer 6.5's in the rear. I did use the Sony's as they have many extra mounting holes, but I ended up going with the Mopar Kicker speakers. 94db/watt in the front and have a very nice clear sound.

The Factory spacers are the gray ring around the factory speakers. they are glued on, but can be removed with a flat head screw driver and carefully pry them off. I just reused those spacers for my Alpine SPE-6090 6x9's.

I tried many boxes last weekend and subs I settled for a set of jl audio w0 in a box made by jl audio as well. Inexpensive looks great pounds nice running my lil fosgate 300.1 amp.
The box fits in a reg cab tray and I have room, these lil boogers do the job in a tight spot and for those on tight budget I wasn't on a budget in the wallet I wanted different subs but box was perfect and couldn't find any subs thatll run on that small air space.

How hard is it to remove the stereo from the dash of a 2003 durango?
