Default Lift, flares, and mirrors?

So I'm looking at lifting my 2005 ram. It's a quad cab 1500. 2wd. I don't want anything huge. I'm looking at a 3" rough country suspension lift. I already have it leveled...I've gOt my fender flares..(great deal picked them up of Craigslist for $75) and my towing mirrors are on the way. I just want a more aggressive stance...will this setup work for me? Any ideas? Anyone have this set setup?
Thanks

If you're already leveled you should just get a 3" body lift. A suspension lift with the level would put your nose higher than the rear I believe. Since you only want the aggressive look the BL is cheaper and gives you the same stance

I didn't know that. Wouldnt a body lift still raise the front? The pa body lift I saw was running 300 and up but I found this rough country suspension life for 299.95...I figured for the same price why not? And I thought suspension was better than the body lifts.

This is what I'm looking at. Would this work for me?

Yea that'll work but a BL lifts the body the same amount all the way around. So if you have a rake you'll still have a rake. A suspension lift will lift the front end by the amount it states (so 3 in.) and then less in the back to make it level all around. For example, my 6 in FabTech lift lifts my front end 6 in and my back end by 2-3in using blocks. So what I'm saying is if you already have a 2 in leveling kit your front end will be up 5 in total and the back will only be up 1.5 in so if anything get a bigger block for the rear and youll be good. Although I don't know if your leveling kit is compatible with the larger springs the SL comes with

I hope the level is compatable. It is a rough country leveling kit so I would assume that there kits work together...if I did look into blocks, where would I look to find just the blocks

Any place that sells suspension parts should have blocks. 4 wheel parts, summit, autoanything

What type of leveling kit do you have? If it's 2", you likely have coil spacers. If it's 3" you likely have a spindle. If you have spacers, you canNOT use the 3" lift springs without removing the spacers--so you gain ~1" of lift in the front, and then 1.5" in the rear from the blocks. If you have a spindle, the 3" springs will bring you up to nearly 6" in the front, and you will need at least a 2" block in the rear, plus some longer shackles. You could get a 3" or even 4" block, but debate goes both ways on their reliability. At 6", you will also need wheel spacers for the front wheels.

My recommendation: if you already have a leveling kit, just get a 3" body lift and call it a day. Unless you want to hit the 10" total mark, which would require 4" spindles and 3" springs in the front; 4" blocks and longer shackles in the rear; and a 3" body lift.

Definitely a noob in this dept...I had the dodge dealership install the level...over a year ago...I have no idea what it is...don't laugh when I say this but I have no idea what to look for to even try to figure out if it is spacers or spindles...I assume if it is spacers there should be said spacer under the front coil? An inch isn't going to help what I'm trying to achieve...If I chose a body life would the level still work?

Either way if anyone could tell me a good idea of what to look for cause I believe my "christmas present" is already been ordered so I may be screwed...

Look in my thread here to see the different spindles, 5th picture down. Turn your wheel all the way to one side, and look at where the hub is located on the spindle. If the hub is down at the bottom, it's a lift spindle. If it looks the other one, towards the middle, it's stock.

If your spindle is stock, that leaves only the coil spacer. Depending on the size of the spacer, it may be difficult to see, but a 2" spacer is pretty big, and you will see it resting in the upper coil perch, pushing the stock coil down.

If you had the dealer install it, it's probably coil spacers. I can't imagine them going to the trouble of installing new spindles without raping you on the cost of both parts and labor.

just put a bodylift and call it done. so with you level and body lift youll be looking at about 5" of lift. Add in 35's and that will give you another 1" of lift.
