Default How come the 06+ Rams dont show DTE when under 32 miles?

My 05 RAM 2500 CUMMINS used to show DTE all the way to "0", now with my new 06 RAM 1500 HEMI, as soon as I hit under 32 miles, it shows "REFUEL" Anyway I can change it?

I never let mine get that low. Fuel pumps are expensive. Anyway, maybe Chrysler didn't want someone to complain when DTE was 32 and it sputtered to a stop at 30.5

I try not to let it go that low either but reality with a 13 MPG truck, rural areas, and highways----it happens some time. I hate not knowing exactly. On my 04 it helped big time one day in chosing where to get gas. It was extremely accurate. Now, (on my 07), it makes it dificult in deciding exatly where to get gas once the alarm goes on. It's also nice to know you can bypass a station in rough looking areas because you know how many miles you can go to the next one in an area thats safe.

my 08 got down that low once... (mainly because someone else drove it when it had a quarter tank and didn't fill it up) and it just came up and said "lo fuel"... but everyone else is right... frequently allowing your vehicle to get that low is not a good thing..

I do wonder if you took a poll of drivers and fuel pump replacements... how heavily would women outweigh the scale on that one... Every girl I know will drive their car until that ****er is on fumes... they wanna be cool like Maverick and goose in top gun and save cougar and merlin or something idk...
