Post Upgrading Basic Sound System

I have a 2006 ram 1500 SLT with the hemi and i only have the basic 4 speaker system wondering if dodge put wires up into the dash for adding the 3 across the dash with the infinity system. I know i would need to upgrade the amp also and wondering if there is a way to upgrade with a different amp then the infinity one.

I can't help you on that information. But I can tell you that I upgraded all interior speakers in my truck and it makes a world of difference. I also have 2 10" subs so my speakers are all for the voice anyways. I get my bass from the subs. GL! hopefully someone else will have that info for ya.

It's easy enough to wire the dash speakers. Just make sure the load presented to the amp is no lower than it's designed to handle (2 ohm or 4 ohms). User crossovers so you don't send harmful bass to the dash speakers.

Upgraded speakers are to a stereo are as an increase in RAM to a computer. Single best improvement you can make.

The Infinity in my Ram Wagon had amps on the speakers. Presumably, that's still the way they do it.

I think so. May be different now, but someone who has dug into to a newer model may be able to confirm.
