Default P0440 & p0441

Started the truck up after sitting for a few days, and got this code. Dont think its that gas cap because it had been about 2 weeks since i filled up last and usually if thats the case it throws the code pretty soon after messing with the cap. Never the less i played around with it, and got nothing. So im confident thats not the issue. I looked at my hoses and they all look fine, worn slightly (9 year old truck with 140k) but nothing pressing. Really dont want to pay a bunch of money to have it fog tested so does anyone have any ideas? I searched the forum and only found 2 threads neither of which with any real info. Any info would really help folks, thanks!

i had the same code and i repalced the gas cap and it went away. After i went down a gravel road i got the code. I also thought it couldnt be the cap because i havnt touched it in about a week but for only a couple bucks for a new one i figured what the hell lets replace it and see what happends

there's an evap system diagram in the DIY section, take a look at that, check the hoses everywhere you can see. If you really don't want to get it fog tested, you are going to have to drop the fuel tank to see the whole system. Good luck either way.
