I found a whole kit from a guy at a shop in town where I live. The guy only wants 125 for it...it's new..the box is sealed...I've looke at the website and they are 330 online. It says avg home gains are like 8mpg...whats everyone's opinion on the deal? Any input on the actual quality of this system?
Thanks

For $125 I'd say go for it. I usually recommend guys just make their own since the gains are pretty much the same and you can make one for less than $60 with a K&N filter, less with a no-name.
8 MPG, I think you are cornfused, because K&N NEVER boasts MPG gains like that. What I believe you are seeing is that the CAI gives about an 8 HP gain. Which is about right - AT THE CRANK, gains from just a CAI with no other mods will realistically give you about 4-5 RWHP...

8mpg was a typo...nice catch hammer...it says it's an avg horsepower gain somewhere around 8 at 5100 rpm...the site does say no claims to mpg..I have know idea where that come from in my original post. I just ordered a PA 3" body lift and some tow mirrors. Just wondering if there was real benefit from a $125 air system.
