Default What gears to get?

Pushing 35x 12.5s right now with stock 3.92s, trying to get some power back. Interested in 4.56s because I tow sometimes and would love milage around town better too. Any input from you gearheads out there?

4.56 is the lowest you can go in a 4x4. You can get 4.88 in a 2wd

4.56s + 35" tires + 545rfe transmission = perfect combination...

I have also mulled over changing my gears. 08 w/ 20s but still running a 33ish tire. Mostly city driving so I'm curious as to how 4.56s would up my mileage. I do know I'd get more jump off the line haha.

Rule of thumb is you'll gain 1-2 in town, stay about the same on the highway up to about 75 mph then you may give one back...

Thanks guys, thats what I like to hear! When new gears are put in, is there any driving habits that need to change?

Don't drive like a madman for a little while till they break in. If they make noise, somethings wrong. They'll tell you it's normal, but it's not

Thanks hammer. One more thing, do I have to buy the master install kit as well or can I get by with just the ring and pinion?
