Tires, Wheels, Lift... HELP!

well im only 17, but im selling my boat for the tires, getting the rims for my late xmas present, so all i need to buy is the lift, and pay for installation. if i work for 1 month, i will have enough to buy my lift. I think im going to go 6" with the 35s. Does anyone have any oppositions to the 6" ? can i still park in parking garages? im not going to need new gears right? also, how much worse will my gas milage get? thanks guys
You don't need new gears, but 4.56s sure will help with 35s.
Gas mileage will be seriously affected. Some have seen drops of 20-25% with lift and 35s.

I have an 02 with a 5.5 rough country lift on 35in nittos and its awesome, for sure not cheap though. I get about 9-10mpg everywhere i go with the stock gears and i don't rub or anything. the rough country lift and shocks do great off road, I've takin mine through some tough stuff and its done great. I don't think I would really waste all the money on a lift and tire for a 2wd though
