On the 3rd gen hemi I just installed a comp 268 cam and was wondering if there is a break in period? I know flat tappet cams have a break in so the cam sets its own groove, but what about the newer hemis? Thanks for the help guys.

 

No break in.needed for.the 268

Just make sure its tuned good before any WOT runs and there is a widenand in there. If you went through Sean for your tuning he should be able to tell you more.

Well I got the wide and just gotta throw it in there as soon as my lazy mechanic gives me my truck back going on 2.5 days now, but I went through Johan at diablo for the tune. I heard great things about Sean though. But I already got a base tune on the predator just gotta install it. Hopefully today

 

The base tune really only gets it to idle and move and usually is pig rich. Mine would run on the on the base tune until.you came to a stop the it stalled out took 3 or 4 revisions to get it running strong
