Anyone Running 295/70/R18's? - Pics Please
I'd like to see some pics of people's trucks who are running this size. Also, what are your wheel specs?
I've gone back and forth on what wheel/tire combo to go with so many times, it's insane. If you've read any of my previous posts, I'm going to do the Bilstein level, but I'm going to use the 1.34" setting, not the full 2" because I like a slightly raked look. I was originally going to go with 285/75/17 tires, but these are not a whole lot bigger than my stockers, so I'm thinking it might leave too much wheelwell exposed and not look right.
I really like the Fuel Hostage wheels that are black with the machined face, but I don't like their selection of 17" sizes for the look I'm after. I don't really want my wheels/tires to stick out too far, I would prefer them to be mostly tucked in but if they stick out a little bit then that's ok. So they make the Hostages in a 18x9, with a +14mm offset, which is a backspacing of about 5.6". I'm pretty confident the 295/70/18's will fit fine without rubbing - I think with this setup they'll be somewhere around 1/4" closer to my suspension components vs. stock and the tires will only stick out about 1/2" from the fenders, which is fine. And the height of the tires is 34.4", so I think they'll fill out the wheelwells real nice. Anyone see any issues with my research?

I'm pretty sure stock BS on my 20's is 5.75", but no matter. I actually found the Fuel Hostages in a 17x8.5 with 5.25", so they'll mount up pretty much the same as my stock wheel. Now I'm back to the 285/75/17's. This seems to be a pretty cost effective setup compared with going to 18's. I'm sure I'll change my mind at least 10 more times though.
