04 greg hemi, I have the same problem as you and the same exhaust. But i love the gibson exhaust. the nice little muble at 2,000 to 2,200. I now have my spare in the box for now until I can find a way to get it moved also..

I remeber back 1997 ford f-150 had the exhaust that exited in front of the tires. I rember it was ruining the tire on the side where came out.

on second thought that is probably something I would not feel comfortable in driving around with my exhaust pipe under the gas tank..umm..hot pipes + gas tank = probally not a good situation.

Really appreciate the help on this one and thanks for taking the time to get those pictures. Helps alot.

I think I will just do the sides pipes on the pass side of the truck and be happy with that.

Well, we're in the minority around here Gordie. But the sound was just what I was after. I'm over the really loud stuff. I can't imagine riding around without a spare and I didn't want to carry it in the bed. I contacted Gibson about the issue and, long story short, they did their R&D on that system with a Ram with 17" wheels on it. They told me they would work on a solution but I came up with my own. The wrap keeps the tire from getting too hot - but it only works when the wrap doesn't have a hole in it. I didn't choose it because I'm a big fan of the dual exit, single side, I chose it specifically because of the big spare. So, I finally got around to stopping by to check on getting it changed the other day. Not sure when I'll actually get it done, though.

Think my first performance mod was the Gibson Supertruck back in 04 up until 08. Loved it.

I don't have enough beer in my garage to even contemplate doing something that looks that ridiculous!
