Talking New Bumpers.. Kinda (PICS)

Chrome's finally GONE.

Made the front look like the Laramie bumper cause I love how they look, and the back is just black for now until I can figure out a way to incorporate white in there somehow. The only thing I can think of is to paint it all white except for the part you can step onto. If anyone's got any other ideas for it I'm all ears.

I'm all for BLING, but can't stand CHEAP chrome and that's what they are all using anymore. I'll stick to my own stainless steel and aluminum diamond plate thank you.

But I agree with you and like the color match bumpers also. Yours looks very good. I think an all white rear bumper with black step pads is fine...

I also really like the black on white, it's what I'm doing to mine aswell. The chrome is peeling off my grill and I'd like to paint it white. What's the best way to do that?

Yeah, I HATE how all the newer trucks have to have like an entire chrome front nowadays like the chevy 2500's now. Bugs the hell out of me.

Well they don't HAVE to..

My grill is chrome too, and I just used plasti dip to make it white. I'd say either that or get it painted for real.

Yeah that was the first colorway I thought of for the back bumper but then someone told me to do the step pads and behind the license plate white and the bottom black so I'm having a hard time choosing.

Thanks!

You can pick it up at Home Depot, Ace Hardware, and probably some others. Although I only found the black spray at Home Depot, for the white I had to go to Ace.

It's a rubber compound usually used to coat tool handles to provide extra grip, but it works just as well for stuff like this. And if you don't like how it turns out, it just peels right off and you can try again or go back to before.

Very durable, I did my wheels black (see sig picture) and it held up without a scratch through offroading and crappy winter driving. Has been a few months, very happy. I would imagine that if wheels hold up, so will every other part. I also messed up one wheel (do not attempt to touch up one area, just do another coat) and had to peel it off. Very easy to do, and was about $25 bucks for all 4 wheels.

As for the bumper, I think white with a black step would be best, love what you did with the front.
