Both of your trucks look really good with the different directions you went, and I would be happy to be able to do either one. I don't really want to keep that fender trim though, and thankfully they are just clipped on and not drilled on. I could see my truck going chrome or black out, but I think she will just stay the same cosmetically. I really want the CAI, so I'll probably be getting one as the first thing I do. I'd also like to change my muffler, and maybe do true dual but I'm going to stick with that FM until I can afford to change it. It really does drone though Hammer, you are correct about that. However; I do want to do SOMETHING to the exterior that will distinguish it as mine, maybe some chrome color Projector Headlights or a nicer chrome grille, I don't know..we will see what happens.

Quick update, I took off the fender trim, quick and easy. Only those cheap little clips to hold them on. Looks a lot better to me now, no pics though...I...forgot to pick my camera up off the ground where I had it before...I backed the truck out of the garage...and...well, no more camera...

Lol your exhaust is crazy loud because of that large hole which is only going to get bigger. I have been saving up to get my exhaust redone. Since I have a stupid weird factory y pipe but my local guy said he can create a setup that will help a lot. Custom x pipe to 2 si/so mufflers

Wow...you guys are right. I thought it was just a burn mark, didn't really look at it. I felt it after you all said that...it's a frickin' hole...dang. Also, a question about the throttle cable/startup. The throttle cable seems to be a bit loose, so the pedal has a bit of slack...I don't think it should be like that...aslo sometimes on startup the truck will start fine, but more so it will try to turn over for a slightly extended period of time, sound like its going to die...then turn on fine. Every time I turn it on I swear I lost about 1/16th-1/8th of a tank of gas it just sitting off by itself...any ideas?

There is no throttle cable, it's all electronic. Only thing connecting your pedal to the throttle is wires and circuits.

As for the starting thing, check your battery. Mine went dead recently, and made the starter run too slow for a couple months before it finally died. I didn't figure I'd need a new battery in an '08, but sure enough, it was dead.

Unless I'm mistaken, the 4.7 retained the manual throttle cable until the upgraded '08 model was introduced. I know my '02 4.7 HO is manual. If so, it can be adjusted...

Well I'll be damned. I guess I need to stop making such wide assumptions about the 4.7L based on my '08. It seems that my motor is basically a mini-Hemi LoL It even has the higher 9.8:1 compression ratio.

There is the metal cable running from my pedal to the throttle, is that the throttle cable? It seems kind of loose on both ends. How is it that I go about adjusting it to make it tighter or whatever to get rid of the slack?
