Go with the cherry bomb extreme, like hammer said it sounds mean outside the truck, loud and throaty, but inside its just enough audible feedback, and no drone. I couldn't be happier with mine.

 

thanks for the advice guys. ill look into the CB and local shop here. luckily i have a custom shop that is real affordable right down the street from me.

now if i can just find that money tree.......an elusive thing it is....

 

guys running the CB extreme on an MDS hemi, are u also running a resonator? I'm trying to decide what to do with my exhaust. I just removed the backhalf of the exhaust on my '07 so all I ave right now is the stock muffler. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do. I want something that wn't be too loud and won't drone, but that sounds like a truck. Any suggestions?

 

Sorry itsahemi4x4 i can't help you out on the MDS part but I Love my CB Extreme i've never had complaints of it being too loud but the neighbors say they can hear me leave for work in the morning. And i don't thinks there's any drone in the cab, nothing compared to the old flowmaster 40 anyway.

 

I had a Dynomax SI/DO on my '04 and my neighbors HATED me cuz I leave for work at all hours of the night. (construction in AZ!) I loved it, but it droned and the wifey wouldn't ride with me. I just got the Aero stealth installed and it's perfect for my taste. Loud enough but not obnoxiou, and no drone to speak of.

 

If you have an MDS hemi there's gonna be a drone unless you turn it off do to the 4 cylinder mode. I gotta an Aero turbine 3030 single in/out on mine and it's a great sound until MDS kicks in. I have the stock resonator on and have wondered if I should chop it off. I'm accustomed to the drone at certain speeds though.
