Default ROTM reminder

Guys,

It's been suggested I post here to remind everyone of the ROTM voting. Hammer had polled us, and many hoped to resurrect the ROTM contest. One week left in the month and only 15 votes, that's less than one a day. I know there's more than 15 of us on here daily.

I am not begging for votes, but as one who voted to get this going I hope to remind others who do not actually read or look at other areas of the forum.

Carry on.

What's ridiculous is about ever since we stopped the ROTM on the forum I got more than 15 PMs a month about bringing it back! Now we can only get 15 lousy votes!!!

Hell I remember when I was a newbie here and got nominated. Three trucks in and I lost (the only time out of four runs I lost) and got beat by a diesel truck with something like 194-191 votes and the truck that finished third got something like 57 votes. That's 442 total voters (don't quote me on the exact numbers, but I'm pretty close by memory). I can promise you that if people don't start voting that the powers that be will stop running ROTMs for good...

I voted, but only after being told to and then I had to go back to the main forum page to search for it. To be honest, I have the 3rd Gen section in my favorites and don't bother with much of anything else, so having a sticky or an announcement in the relevant sub forums would help.

Here's a link for this month's poll for anyone else that's interested: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/ride-of...tm-voting.html

Edit: LOL, and I just saw Chet said about the same exact thing in the voting thread.

Yep, I'm with you there. There should be a way to have an active "global" link on every forum. I know other vBulletin forums that have links that way.

I will speak to the moderator in charge of the ROTM and see if we can come up with something to better advertise it, however I do know that there IS an announcement up on top of EVERY SECTION of the forum regarding ROTM, just look up top in the ANNOUNCEMENT SECTION.

Noted, but that announcement is still a bit more specific to the January Nomination thread. Could probably use an update to make it more focused on just getting users to the ROTM section and nominations/voting.
