Some pics of the truck and new sub/ amp setup
Hey guys, I've been meaning to throw some pics of my truck up since I bought it at the end of november but never got around to it. I'm also throwing up some pictures of the sub and amp I just put in for those who might be interested in doing the same (big thanks to weedahoe for the help). Right now the truck is stock other than the sub and I put automatic lights in it. Planning on exhaust and maybe a level with some 35's when these tires wear wear out.
the sub is a 300W 8" kicker solo classic powered by a 350W Sound Ordinance M-1350 mono amp. Sub fits perfect in the bottom of the console and I was able to fit a .33 cubic ft box in the space which is exactly what the sub needed.

no its in my centre console, I have the full floor console in my truck. I didn't want to take up any space under my back seat because i use the space for tow ropes, cables, etc. I didn't use the bottom portion of my console for much so it worked out perfect to put my sub there.

That came out really nice.
It vibrates a bit only when it hits a certain frequency. i have to make the top lid latch a bit tighter yet and all the vibrations should be fixed. I also had to put some of that black drawer liner stuff in the bottom of the upper console to keep everything inside from rattling against the plastic. It kept knocking change out of my change holder in there too but i just put a strip of the liner behind it and it fixed that. I considered making the sub down firing to avoid vibrations but it would have been difficult to do because the space is a bit cramped. It ended up not vibrating too bad anyway, any that are/were there will be easy to fix. It was a bit of work and a few cut up knuckles but I am very happy with the sound out of it now.

fixed the top lid so it latched a bit tighter today and now all vibrations are gone throughout the frequency range at any volume. Good way to add some bass to your truck if you have the console and want to keep the room under the back seat free.

I do. I have the center seat with the storage space under the seat and have been thinking about doing some custom work to that to house my sub. I was just worried about vibrations. I have so much stuff under my back seats that I cannot be without. It's important stuff like tie straps, TP, air compressor, hitch, softball glove/cleats, etc.
