Default Spark Plug Change

I swapped the plugs out and looks to me like they really needed it.

I have put about 25000 miles on my truck since I bought it and I have no idea when they were ever changed but it looks like they were due. The right bank looked just as bad

Yeah, a little. Peppier getting off the line and definitely runs alot smoother.

I just changed the plugs on my 06 4.7 also, no idea how many miles I bought the truck used about 2 months ago.

I recently replaced mine and they looked very similar to these. I too went with Champion copper plus which is exactly what were being replaced, but the funny thing is, the truck seemed to lose throttle response right after the replacement.

It feels like it is back to normal now, but at first it ran worse, not better, after the plug change. The plugs I took out were so worn, most of them had twice the gap they should have had and the "arms" looked like they had been filed down to have a blade at the end, like a knife. ! (.090 instead of .045) I was quite surprised to have less low-end with the new ones, but like I mentioned before, it seems to have worked itself back out after driving for a couple hundred miles.

ive been wondering about similar ideas with a larger gap on the plugs. allows for bigger spark and better fuel burn if coil has enough juice to provide that big of spark.

i dunno......maybe someone with more intelligence than me can chime in on that idea.
