Resetting the clock.... 365k on first engine. 14m on new engine. Old one didnt blow just lost compression and was burning too much oil. Replaced under lifetime warranty.

06 Dodge Magnum Hemi AWD 5.7L with 155,000 miles on it. Wonder if it's time to change the timing belt?

You don't have a timing belt.

2007 Ram 1500 Hemi 4x2 just hit 93k. Running like a champ.

Some front suspension work on the passenger side and shocks replaced a few years ago. AC Compressor and fan replaced. that's it!

I'm interested in buying a 07 Ram 1500, HEMI 5.7L V8, 4WD Quad Cab with 228,000 miles on it. The ad at the dealership says it's a one owner vehicle and the miles are all highway miles. This dealership sold the truck new and has all the service records, asking price is $7900. Carfax says it's value is $1160 greater than market value, but I'm scared of the high mileage, should I be?

I'd be scared too. I can't believe they want almost 8 grand for that. $2000.00 sounds more like it.

I'm curious, what is the condition of the interior?

I have that same truck with just over 90,000 and am starting to notice things falling apart.

My wifes grand cherokee started to seriously degrade inside and out after about 8 year and low mileage for the year.

Pass. Offer $5500 and be ready to walk. Snap a picture of the price of gasoline in your area with your cell phone. I have this truck. Do I like it? Yes, very much, but the seats suck and I can't keep brakes on it. Now, the cost of maintaining this truck is expensive you have to DIY. The dealers are expensive. Did the previous owner do the diff and transfer cases evey 60k? the plugs every 30k ? Can you handle 13- 18 mpg? I'll bet you he'll take the $5500 I say you offer him.........walk he'll take it. Good Luck, Mike

Thank you for the input, I really appreciate it.

Judging by the pictures on the dealer web page the interior looks to be in pretty good shape; the only thing that looks out of place is one of the air vents. It looks like it may be broken or bent in some way. The dealer is 40 minutes from my house and am hoping to get over and look at it tomorrow after work.

Thank you for the advice. The gas mileage isn't that big of an issue as I mostly drive 5 miles round trip to work and back daily, and I can't believe that the difference between this and my Jeep will vary that greatly in the grand scheme of things. Since the dealership sold this new and did most of the service on it I plan on asking for what all has been done to it.

Mines got 127,000 and counting. My cousins 98 1500 broke 300,000 in Gatlinburg this weekend. That's on its 2nd tranny.
