Default New Magnaflow

Threw on my new Magnaflow today (part #11259 / 4''x9''x18'' oval). The sound is exactly what I was looking for. Now my pickup actually sounds like a pickup should. I've never understood why the factory throws on such a massive muffler, but oh well, it's fixed now.

Tomorrow it gets new fog lights and Tuesday the front windows are getting tinted.

This is the same muffler I have on my 4.7l. I love the sound of it too, not too loud but sounds good when you get on it.

Nice! That's the exact muffler I put on my truck 5 months ago.
A definite improvement over the stock factory "trash can".
Did you keep the resonators on?
I opted (be it a few months later) to ditch the tail pipe and dump out in front of the right rear with duel chrome tips.
One less resonator = more sound. Looks and sounds really nice now.

I left the resonator on. I'm on the road a lot and I didn't wanna put up with any kind of annoying droan when the MDS kicks in.

I really happy with it. Now if I could figure out why my front Bilsteins are squeaking...I'd be set.

Do I need to pop a weep hole in the bottom of my new Magnaflow?

Considering its stainless. No I wouldn't Any moisture should be vaporized by the heat and expelled w/ the other exhaust gases. The reason they didn't put one in is the muffler can be installed in a variety of positions and is reversible with flow direction. Yours was center in offset out correct?
You got a good 10 year muffler.
Also I believe the 07 & 08 years only had one resonator...after the muffler. The 06's had two...One before and one after. I kept the one directly after the Y pipe and lost the tail pipe with that ugly resonator on it. No drone for me.

Yep...it's a center in - offset out. I'll leave it along.

I left the rear resonator on and I think it sounds perfect.

Thanks for the info.
