Ok guys, i was a member on here a few years back but I sold my 03 ram when I went overseas. Now I'm heading back in a few months and the hunt is on for another truck. Right now I am down to a 05 quad cab slt and a 07 sport, both are 4x4 and have the hemi's. Both have close to the same mileage 61k and 67k respectively yes the 07 has more miles. Both are from private sellers and both say they are in great shape. The 07 is about 4 grand more than the 05. My question is this...is the 07 worth the extra 4 grand. I know the 07 has the MDS and I remember guys complaining about the MDS when they switched mufflers. Any input would be great.Thanks

 

05! The 05 is considered around here to be the "peak" of the 3rd gen Rams. Still had torsion bars, no MDS, has all the tuning capabilities of any other Ram. Go with the 05 just make sure you check out everything in person and get all fluids changed and check the spark plugs since it should be on its second set by now

 

Thanks for the response, I had just read that very same thing on a different thread. I just hope that it will still be available when I get back there, if not I will keep on looking. All I know is there is no other truck for me but a Ram hemi.
