Default Borla exhaust sounds and video

Hey guys ,

Had the shop do Exhaust today and i am very pleased,
sounds awesome not to loud untill you give it gas then she roars.
I have read others stating they have lost low end but mine feels like i gained all around.

I spent about 2 months reading and researching and was going to do true duals but thought that might be to much flow and noise so decided to go with catback style.

Borla muffler 3 inlet dual out 2.5. magnoflow Ypipe 3 single out, 2.5 dual in

Its has a much better sound when your driving down the road then compared to just in park reving it.

Looks good, did you change from stock or did you have something else to compare to?

Had the same setup on mine for a long long time. Brings back memories lol! If you like a mild tone at idle and cruising with a roar at WOT then its a perfect choice. I went a head and upgraded it to an XR-1, still has a subtle idle but much more aggressive sounding than that setup.

Do you have dual mufflers or one? how does that XR- 1 compare to your old setup as far as cab noise on the highway? I have heard that XR- 1 on a mustang and it sound good.

What cab noise?

It is very mild if that in the cab, you can hear it but its not a deafening drone or anywhere close to that. Mine is just a single muffler 14" oval, 3" SI/SO, dumped over the axle. I love the sound of it and glad I switched. But I wanted the more muscley sound and it achieved that. The old setup was fine for what I had originally wanted it to be, found that the resonated exhaust tips that come with that kit hold it back a little, so I removed them and liked the sound more, then I dumped both pipes over the axle and it sounded much better, then I had to upgrade it to the xr1 since it was the next step up and my tastes changed.
