No BS on HHO Kits mpg
I am not willing to write this technology off yet. I don't care if hho even ends up giving me less power. My point would be to stop burning or burn far less oil a product we have to import, and cost our country a great deal. Until I see with my own eyes a kit that puts out a valid amount of hho either 4 to 6 lpm in conjunction with gas or diesel, or like the kit in the video that puts our 55 lpm and runs only on hho. Then I will either believe it will or will not work. A buddy of mine said he is getting ready to by that 773 kit for his 1997 350 Chevy, so we may soon see if they make a difference at all. I don't want to be the person who drops $700 on a kit, and then see nothing in return.
That is why I put this post up. To see if anyone on here has made there own kit, or purchased a kit and what there results were.

The same thing was tried I want to say 3yrs or so ago. There was a big push for this and propane as alternative fuels and it all ended the same way. A few people tried them said they worked but couldn't back any of their numbers up or explain how it all worked. Their mpg lists anywhere from a 2-25mpg gain and that varies based on vehicle. If it showed a consistent gain with a dyno chart to back it up it would be a different story. Things like this Always pop up around this time of year when gas prices start to climbe.

Very good link about this stuff. After watching this video I don't think it would be worth $700 for a kit.

I did know a guy a couple years ago that had an early 70's Chevy pickup with a carburated 350. He built his own system from plans he found and from talking to people on the internet (there is a couple forums on Yahoo groups about this). When all was said and done, he was getting about 34 mpg from his truck, well more than double the standard mileage. I looked into it for a computer controlled engine, but none seemed to work well in the long run. Maybe one with a stand alone computer might be able to work, but the stock computer definitely will make the mixture richer for what it sees as an error from the O2 sensors.
