Default When rock and brake caliper collide

i was out a couple weeks ago run down a dirt road right after it rained and before everything was said and done i ended up sliding into a ditch on the side of the road once i got out of the ditch and stopped to check everything out open and the door and all i heard was the air coming out of one of my tires all in all when i took the wheel and tire to the local tire shop for what i thought was a hole in my tire turns out the guy walked back in saying i needed a new wheel well instead of going that way i decided id try to weld it up instead since i work at a welding shop and have the access to a tig welder here is the final outcome of welding after two tries and having the tire unmounted and remounted several times

inside of the wheel after the tire was unmounted sorry bout the crappy cell phone picture

heres the outside of the wheel afteri finally got the weld to seal

That is my question as well. That has got to throw the balance way off. Curious to see how large a weight is needed to offset that.
