I just did my best Ricky Bobby impersonation today. 12 laps around Phoenix International in a cup car. Driving that car was unlike anything else I've ever done. What a rush. My wife bought this for me for X-mas. She is the coolest! They had a ride along too, but that's just four laps, with a pro driving, and it's over before it starts.

I have a whole new respect for what those guys go through during a race. They are true athletes. I was in the car for 10 minutes in the suit with helmet and all strapped in before we got to do our laps, and it was easily 120 degrees sitting still. Ambient temp in Phoenix yesterday was about 95. Added bonus, I probably lost a few lbs in the car. Biggest letdown was getting into the Acura to drive home. Wife told me to slow down the whole way home!
