And I'm not trying to be that negative Nancy either, I know how you feel. I'm thinking about sawing my turn downs off to decrease drone.

Its freakin awesome! I'ts not very loud idle, but when you drive holy crap it's loud. The only louder thing I've heard is my 78 firebird with dual flowmaster super 10's with no cats . But back to the cherry bomb, it does drone on the highway due to my turn downs but not bad I actually like that. It's like $40 too! I'll post up a video when I get the chance

hey jdpartsman, is there a huge difference from the 06-08 mufflers to the 09 and up mufflers? aside from the dual out. i was looking for a bit of a rumble but nothing crazy, thought i could live with the aero but guess not
Yeah...the way the muffler is mounted is way different. The muffler shop I took my truck to had to cut the mounts off and re-weld to fit my truck. No big deal. I will run this until my old mild steel tailpipes rust out. Note the factory muff is stainless steel and will outlive your truck. After that, it's going to be a Corsa or a side outlet unit like dirtydogs. And yes, what dirtydog said about pipes is true. My 24" Magnaflow droned like hell with dual tailpipes. When I dumped it with a turndown it was amazing, no drone at all! I just don't like dumped exhaust. Personal pref. I guess.

i'm not opposed to dumped if it will get rid of the drone, i can live with some rumble i used to have trucks with 14inch magnaflows but that was before i towed and had kids, dont get me wrong some days its nice to drown them out jk

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. If you don't want drone do NOT go with dumps. I'm assuming by dumps you mean with the turndowns? If so, then what happens is the sound waves go straight down to the ground and the engergy is sent back up to the truck, increasing the noise inside the cab. Just put the muffler on but stop it there so it still points towards the back. That's what I'm gunna do by cutting the turndowns off.

Or have it go out the side in front of the tire, that looks awesome. I would do that but I'm limited on money so I can't buy every good idea that comes to mind. Although it's very hard not too cuz I have severe ADHD lol.
