Default Used Superchips flashpaq, what to look out for

I'm looking at a used sc flashpaq this weekend and I'm aware of the vin locked once married to a vehicle. Anyone who is knowledgeable about this unit, please give me some specific instructions how to test it. Much appreciated!

Just make sure it's unlocked and set back to defualt, make sure you get all the wires and manual if he has it

Yea you'll know when you plug it in because it'll say it's locked to the previous owners vehicle or it'll say it's unlocked

Thanks, seems simple enough. I hope the deal works out.

I located a PDF that breaks down error messages.

Not a problem, glad we could help and keep you from buying something you would have never been able to use

So the seller didn't have a vehicle tuned with that tuner, and he could not "return to stock" and unlock for you?

hmmmmmm.

Oh well, keep looking. You'll love it once you get one.

Now, I think back to some of things he said, "bought it used", "worked fine on my truck even tho it says lock".

The unit displayed the last 9 of the vin to the original vehicle it was married to and I could have walked over to his truck, then verified it, but I really didn't want to debate with him why I knew it was B.S.
