Default Wheel Spacers

So i'm trying out some 2" wheel spacers on my truck. Heard a lot of things about them so i decided to try it out for myself. Just put them in today we will see how they work. They sure do look good tho.. here's a before and after.

I had them on my last truck and had no issues, I do suggest after @ 300 miles take the wheels off and re-tighten the lugs for the spacers. I had to with my truck, they were not to loose but one good turn put them back in check. Then just check when you rotate your tires. Just my 2 cents.

Check 'em often. Have a friend who had one fail (studs broke) on an off ramp on I85 in Atlanta rush hour traffic. He got to watch his wheel/tire pass him.

Personally, I buy the wheel with the proper offset/backspace for what I want. I don't trust 'em...

so hammer, the higher the backspace the further out the center of the hub is from the back of the rim? or is it vise versa

Numerically lower backspacing will throw the tire out from under the wheel well farther. For example a wheel with 4 1/2" of backspacing will throw it out farther than a wheel with 5 1/2" of backspacing.

Same with offset (which goes hand in hand with backspacing), a negative offset sticks the tire out farther than a positive offset...
