Hey Guys,
So i mentioned before I had my truck broken into and my radio was stolen. The odd thing about that whole incodent was that i noticed my key phob will not work any more nor will the dome light come on when the door is open. I was thinking it might have been something with the security system and radio, so I recently got a new radio and tried to install it the same way as the pro's did it. I did have to get the Metra CHO-02 interface for mine, and I had it in there before and it worked great, now the problem is i am not getting any power coming out the other side of the box leading to the radio, I am getting power to the black box but not out of it so the radio will not turn on, I am also still having issues with the key phobs and dome lights not coming on when the doors are opened, I did verify all of the fuses, the only wiring that was cut was the after market stuff, I guess what i am wondering is does the security system has some strange effect on the amp turning on? I do not really want to take it to the stealership to get it looked at but i am thinking that is what iam going to have to do as i am unsure of how to even "reset" the security system.

I would take it to a local stereo shop....when i worked at one we would charge like $10 to check everything out and see what the issue was.

It sounds like a problem with the metra interface. I would recommend going with the pac interface there much more reliable. As far as the dome light and key fab not working that may be the interface. Metra has a help line you can call on there web site
