Yeah I sprayed it down before we quit last night so maybe sitting over night got it loose. I'm about to try it in an hour or so and we'll see what happens.
So I have made little progress in the 8 hours I have been working on the lift. We finished removing everything for the front suspension but the new subframe is causing us a lot, and I mean A LOT of problems. We are unable to get it it with hammering, jacks, lube, pretty much anything we do does not work. The main reason is trying to get the rear of the sub frame around where the old part was. It is a rubber bushing and the subframe is rounded and will not go around the bushing. It's been a tough process. I have not ate a thing, no breakfast and no lunch, just took my first break and needless to say I am worn out. This was most differently an unforeseen problem. It would probably be a lot easier if I was using a floor lift instead of jackstands.
I don't remember having a problem with the sub-frame at all. Granted this was over 6 years ago, but you may be right as I stated I had access to a shop with a full vehicle lift...
So anyone know how much a new hub costs? I busted the outside casing on the back with a screw driver while I was trying to knock it out of the steering knuckles. GO FIGURE!!! Crappy deal but I definitely messed it up because it's harder to rotate than it was and harder than the other one so I know something got messed up. Other than that I don't want to talk about it because it was nothing but a day of frustration. Finally got the subframe on though, my dumbass was putting the wrong side in first, it wasn't until about 6 beers into a break that a light bulb came on in my head and I realized I was doing it wrong. Today was a day to forget, but we live and we learn.
man you werent kiddin', thats a lot of frustration for sure. im sure once you get back into the groove of things it will come together easier. good luck the rest of the way! cant wait to see the finished product
