Choosing some black rims
I have a good friend with a Jeep who put a set of Cepek DC2s on it late last fall, he paid $135 a wheel in 17x9 and got free shipping. I can drop him a text and ask where if you are interested in them.

I paid $129 a wheel with free shipping for my polished aluminum MT Classic IIs, but that was damn near 8 years ago now...

The problem with chrome nowadays is it's gotten cheap. Back in the day when they put a thick plating on it was like looking into glass and the reflection was DEEP. Now it's a thin *** coating that's actually thinner a strand of hair so no deep reflection and it scratches and pits in no time.
I'm now more into diamond plate and stainless steel than actual chrome. My only problem with the "blacked out" look is all the kids around here have done it and it's just everywhere you look, especially amongst the ricer crowd. Way back when my truck was new I actually started going with all black accessories, there are pics on this forum from years ago showing my truck with a black tool box, black nerfs and black tailgate/bed trim. I like the black on red, but EVERYBODY started doing black and I just had to be different, and IMO the sh*t does look good when it shines... LOL...

Sorry to steal the thread, Greg. Back on track - what about the Cepek DC2s or Torques???

or the MT Sidebiters just to add to the mix...

Back on topic I like that all black ones but maybe something with a small chrome accents would look good also
I have V-tec wheels and i like them....i was looking at the Raptors which is the first wheel you posted....i am against chrome as you can see lol, but s few accents arent bad...i got my wheels off of ebay for $500 shipped...as for the moto metals the first ones you posted are nice but A LOT of people have them and the helos are junk....you get what you pay for but the V-tec is a good product for the price. Now the KMC XD series that were posted are nice but they all those little accents are plastic and they dont last....i do like the MT sidebiters that Hammer posted. Im sure if you kept an eye open you could find some at a decent price....remember the price difference from $500-$700 for a set of wheels is $123-180 per wheel....there are tons that fall in that category but you want to make sure the quality is good.

There are tons of wheels out there, so I had to narrow it down somehow. So, I capped my price at $150 per wheel or <$600 per set and then let him choose the ones he liked that fall into that price range. I could probably go to other websites and do the same thing and come up with more options but there are enough available that he likes that there is no need to go on a long search for the "perfect wheel".
Thanks all for the feedback. Sounds like VTECS are okay, Moto Metals are not bad, and stay away from the Helo's - which I don't care for anyway and are not one of his top choices...
