Default Plastidip taillights?

Has anyone thought about or used the Plastidip Smoke on their taillights rather than VHT? This could be too new for anyone to have used it yet, but what do you guys think?

I saw that product too. Would be nice to use in case Johnny Law doesn't like the smoked tailights. Should just peel off right? I looked at AutoZone and O'reiley's for it, and couldn't find it. I did find A duplicolor Lens Tint in both silver and black. I have an '07 with the funny lookin' taillights and was thinking about taping them off in the areas where the light needs to show through and then hitting them with the body color. Something different.

Not a bad idea. That would change your look for sure. I think it is brand new, so it might not be on many shelves yet. Probably have to order it online. My thinking was the same, it can just peel off if you don't like it. No sanding or anything so you won't ruin your lights if you don't like it.

Plasti dip isn't automotive paint, although that is its primary use, anyway you can get it stores such as lowes or home depot. And for the lights I'd think it would reduce light output more than vht would

You cant see anything with the pastidip on the lights. I did mine but not to much light came through. I used the lens tint by duplicolor and it worked great. If you don't like it a little gas there it goes.
