If it were possible to shoehorn a Hemi into a NEON, that would be the ultimate sleeper though. Think about it. It'd be a WRX and EVO KILLER!

It would work about as well as when a magazine (it was either hot rod or car craft) shoehorned a caddy 500 cube V8 into a chevette. It would do 12's because of the power to weight ratio, but only 1 person could sit inside on a weird seat to make room for the engine and trans...
I think it's kind of humorous, actually. I really don't think the owner intended it to be taken seriously...
Back in the mid-90's I saw a Chevette at Atco Speedway in New Jersey (I think that was the name of it) with a huge motor and blower intake that was taller than the roof of the car. From the brief look I got of it, it appeared that there was *******ly no rear axle, and the wide slicks came almost to the center housing. I'm sure there was more to it than that, but it just looked REALLY funny on that little car. Lots of sheet metal cutting and fabbing done to it, as well. IIRC, there was only one seat in it and it was at an odd angle. Not sure if this is the same car you saw or not. This had to be 15 years ago, or so. Thought it really funny, because a friend of mine that I was with had a little Chevette, too.

Found it:

and I was mistaken, I think I said 12's, it was 11's...
