33 and 3.55 or 35 and 4.65
Im running stock 265/70/17 with a 3in PA bod lift. The tires are to small and I know that but I was gonna wait till they were bald to replace them. My buddy just told me he wants to buy them so im thinking sonner then later is always better
Because I have 3.55 gears my original plan was just get some aggressive 33s and be happy. Im thinking now if I do that then I will want 35s in the future. Because of the cost of gears should I just fork out the money for the 4.56 and 35in tires, or get 33s now and wait for the rest? Ive been reading all the posts about this and I just dont want to regret going all the way and thinking I spent to much for only 2 inches more of tire. Thoughts or comments?
I was going to vote 33s and 3.55s would be fine but I'd be lying. They would be ok for short term but you'd want to regear sooner rather than later. On the other hand 35s and 4.56s are very costly as you stated. I have 34s with 3.92s and I'm happy where I'm at
I mostly drive highway because im an hour from any trails. When I do go off road Its usally for the whole weekend so I kinda need the best of both worlds
35's and 456 the only way to go. We've run 4.56's with 32 in tires and even on the interstate with these short tires, the O/D keeps the rpm's within reason so 35's should be no problem at highway speeds. Any thing less than 4.56 with 35's will be a big disappointment to you. Good luck and have fun
