Stock Daisies worth anything?
Just wondering if I should bother trying to sell my stock wheels when I take them off, or if I should just scrap them for a few bucks. They are 8 years old but in very good shape for their age. I have one that caught some clearcoat overspray when I was having a dent repaired on the front fender and it sealed some faint brake dust on the wheel. It could probably be polished off but it's so barely noticeable and I clean them so infrequently anymore, I haven't bothered.
This is not a for sale thread. I'm just wondering if anyone has sold or bought a set of these that could give me an idea of what they might be worth, if anything?

Clad or plated?
I sold my plated ones with g/y AT's for six bills.. had half life or so on them..
Buy new ones will cost $225 each.. they're expensive for stock truck rims..
I'd ask $150 each, and take $125..

I don't know what they are, other than they are stainless, not chrome. I'm sure they are expensive if purchased from a dealer, but just not sure if they have any street value or what the value might be. The tires are not in great condition but they do have some treadlife left. However, I need to swap one of them out for a spare since my current spare has a cut in the sidewall and a chunk of rubber burned out of the edge of the tread where one of my pipes got a hole rubbed in the heat wrap and it burned the rubber off the tire. So, I'll probably just have all of the tires dismounted and sell the rims alone if I can get anything for them.
If they're the real polished ones and not the plastic chrome covered, they should be worth something to someone. That's the whole reason I haven't changed to aftermarket wheels -- I don't mind the look and these are zero maintenance.
With a little Meguiar's wheel cleaner my 9 year old wheels look like new in no time.

Had a guy used to live down the street - was a member here at one time actually - who's wife did one in against a concrete and steel drainage grate. Was the stainless one and it cost him $300 and change at the dealer to replace it.
I'd Craig's List 'em if'n it were me...

Ultimately, they are worth what someone will pay for them, I guess. If I post them on CL, maybe somebody that has a damaged set or is trying to upgrade from stock 17's will see some value in them.

There's always someone out there looking for spare / replacement wheels. Might as well list them and take whatever you can out of them. Should definately be worth more than what you'll get at the scrap bin. If you can't get anything for them and don't mind holding on to them, you could always keep them and put them back on if you ever sell the truck.
I'm trying to get away from holding on to crap I will probably never use again. My house and shop are already in need of a good purge. I will take whatever I can get, to a certain extent. I'd rather hold out for a decent price than to give them away to the first person that comes along.
