Do I Have Enough Truck for This??
Better to pull it with a Caravan that is equipped properly than put it on a bumper ball hitch of a tank. The vehicle and engine are just part of the equation. As many have done before you, and many will do after, you took a chance and you got lucky - and now you want to come back and spout attitude because you got away with it. You started this thread and didn't like the answers you got, so you just did what you wanted to anyway. I'll bet that, if you had left your bumper and camper sitting in the middle of the highway somewhere, we'd have never heard from you again.
It's not just your family that is at risk when you take a chance on towing something improperly - you are putting everyone on the road around you at risk too. I was driving up I-95 from Florida last weekend, the day after the Daytona 500. It was amazing how many RV's I passed on the road that were taking similar chances. I saw an F150 crew cab, with at least 5 people in the truck, towing a 30+ foot 5th wheel with 3 slideouts on it. No way that truck is rated to tow that RV. Unfortunately, I see it far too often.

Why didn't you tell us the previous owner used a caravan, we all would have given you our blessing. If he started kissing guys would you do it too? Just because he did something stupid doesn't mean you have to join in. I want to know what did you hook the safety chains and the brake too. Kind of defeats the purpose of them both if you hooked them too your bumper.
