What's 170,000 Kilometers work out to - about 100k miles? $12k American is about right at the dealer (high retail) for an '04 Hemi 4x4 in real good shape. Seen a couple of '05 Hemi 4x4s around here for private sale with about 75-80k on 'em for about the same money though.

$10k in my area is about what the '03 Rams are getting with about 120,000 miles on 'em, although I have a friend who bought an '05 QC 4x4 with the smaller 4.7 V8 in it about three months ago for $10,800 that only had 71k miles on it and it was in mint condition. I couldn't find so much as a scratch on it...

So thats about average price then. I think I am gonna get the hemi if I can, after seeing all the little features newer vehicles have I just gotta get one...
edit: just found this deal as well. Since its private I'm sure cash in hand would make the price come down. http://peterborough.kijiji.ca/c-cars...AdIdZ391230710

I got an 05 hemi in nice shape with 105,000 on it for 10,500 last fall, so I would say if you can get the red hemi around 10, 10.5 that's pretty good.

Personally I like the red one better, I think it's a little better deal. Both look like pretty nice trucks though.

The red one also says it's a Laramie, so it has the nicest trim level if that's true. I'm sure the book adds value to it for that. It has also been listed since early May, so the fact that it has been for sale for almost 2 months should get you a better deal. You could always make an offer, the worse they could say is no.

I say go for the 06 and take off the stickers on the side. Offer up $12,000 and see if he will negotiate. It has lower miles and better looking wheels.

they all look good, but newer with lower miles is usually a safer bet. i got my 04 with 56k on it for 12.5 and i havent had any problems with it. just regular maintenance.

I also found this deal.

If I could get that for around 7-8 grand would that be worth it? Or should I just try to get a lower KM model?

Check to see if it has good service records and history. I would rather buy one with 150k and a good service history, than one with 100k, same truck - same price, with little or no evidence that it was taken care of. But yeh, 7 or 8k would be good but thats a heck of a discount off 10k.
