If I could get that for around 7-8 grand would that be worth it? Or should I just try to get a lower KM model?
IF all appears to be in top-notch shape AND you can get it for under $8000 you have a very good deal there. $10k would be on the higher side of retail for that year/mileage, but still not totally unreasonable if it's in near mint condition with no mechanical defects and is not overdue for any maintenance.

Personally, the '04 & '05 4x4s are my favorites. NO MDS, more room for tire fitment due to the torsion front and NO TIPM to have to screw with.

I don't know where you heard that from. The '03 to '08 Hemi makes the same 345 HP/375 TQ at the crank, HP increased to 390 and TQ went up to 407 in '09.

Dodge Ram R/T - It is a concept truck with a blue body, 22-inch forged wheels, SRT stripes, and a new front bumper with chin spoiler. It was unveiled in 2008 at the SEMA show. Production of the Dodge Ram R/T began for the 2009 model year. It is a regular cab, short bed, 2WD 1500 Ram with 22" wheels, a 4.10 final drive gear ratio (the only way to get a 4.10 rear in a 1500), an R/T badge in the lower-right corner of the grille, and a Hemi. It also has the performance hood from the Sport Appearance Package on other Ram Sport models, but does not have the striping package that the concept had...

ya, i must have just got some bad info or read something rong about the hp on the 05 & 06 hemi. im realy just trying to figure out what the best hemi power train is to start with (besides the srt-8). because im looking to get an 04-05 sc sb hemi for show and go. but mostly go! i guess my question now is still what makes an r/t an r/t? not nesasaraly an r/t truck (an r/t hemi). wasent there r/t chargers fom 03-08. im sarry if these questions may sound silly, this is a new arena for me even though i'v been a life time mopar fan. thanks!!

they didnt make the charger until 05/06 and they had all sorts of variants on those like the daytona. and an r/t is a higher performance. bigger engine and such an such, not sure if it was ever just a sticker package. lol i used to believe it was racingtechnology!

I know a bunch of Jeep guys who run the Cepek DC2s both in the mud and on the beach and haven't heard a one complain about the clear coat. I'd suspect maybe salt up north which is terrible on clear-coated wheels, but I'd think the beach would be as bad if not worse...

ya, i thought the r/t might just be a sticker package too. but i had a neon r/t for my 2nd car, and my first was an dohc automatic sport and i found in the r/t the cam was diferent the trani ecu intake manafold, a lot was diferent. so i was just woundering about the r/t hemi because i was thinkin i could find some cheep stock bolt on's for a cupple of ponies here or there. O' ya, does any one know if anything from the srt-8 is compatable to the 5.7 hemi. i saw on you-tube that some one said they had a srt-8 cam in a 5.7 hemi. if thats true, is the cam all you need or do you need the push rods and or valve springs too? thanks!

For the 6.1 Hemi cam you should change out to the 6.1 springs, rods and retainers and pretty much doesn't need custom tuning BUT be forewarned, most who put in a 6.1 cam either go back to stock or put in an aftermarket. It's a poor truck cam, making more mid-high HP but LOSING a good bit of low end torque when compared to a 5.7 cam.

Maybe a RC 4x2 can get away with it but it's not a good QC or 4x4 cam...
