idk if they should make it a v8 diesel or not...i mean if it aint broke dont fix it (cummins i6) plus the i6 is a proven engine, lots of loyalty there. idk if they wanna take a chance at making a v8 that no one will really trust or buy. im sure either way it will be sweet though.

I agree completely!
Why not just use the 4Bt239 Cummins? ( It is the 5.9 I6 Cummins, minus 2 cylinders)
It is a very old engine, has been used in many on & off road applications. In several of our farm tractors, has a VERY good reputation for absolute 100% reliability and can go 8000 hrs. / 500k mi. between rebuilds.
Very very good engine.
There are a few who have made their own 4BT 1/2 ton swap and are getting 30+ MPG. Granted, the 0-60 times are in the 14 second range.

Dang I feel like you guys are speaking a different language. Is the i6 the 4cyl cummins? Or am I just retarded?

Go look at the new v6 engines. It'll change your mind about the 3.7.
