Default spark plug question

i know this has been covered on here before but i have to ask. my dad is going to pick me up some plugs for my bday, he asked 2 different napa guys what the oem plugs are, they both said platnums. i know everyone on here says to run the "stock" plugs but everyone says the stock plugs are champion copper cores. is there any weight to what the napa guys are saying or do they just want to make him spend extra money? thanks guys, and again i know this has been covered but i just am really wondering why they say platnum plugs.

Stock is copper core. Find another place to buy parts.

They want him to spend more $$. I haven't run platinums in mine, but Iridiums seem to work fine. That being said, I got a really good deal on a set that made it worth my while. Iridiums are hellishly expensive, so I would go with the coppers (unless he wants to spend the $$).

So dont fight, show him hard evidence. Download the right factory service and parts manuals.
