while maneuvering my trailer into position to park it my steering and brakes seemed to fail at the same time. The reservoir has enough fluid. Now it will turn left under power steering, but no power steering to the right. Brakes work under power braking sometimes yes, sometimes no. The steering problem arose very intermittently in October of 2009 and I took it do the dealer and he found nothing. I need advice on what's wrong and if it likely will be covered under warranty since I am on record as having a problem before. It's a 2007 diesel one ton single axle.

 

sounds like a faulty hydroboost system to me.....

 

Power brakes are run off the power steering pump; lose the pump and lose both systems, either entirely or intermittently.
