I'm not worried about emissions or smell so I think I'm gonna gut them this weekend.

What if I just cut one off? In Texas you only have to have 1 cat

Also there could be a chance that local exhaust/muffler shops will decline to touch any part of exhaust system due to no cats. That said i run no cats (4 years now) and non foulers w/ 0000 steel wool takes care of the MIL without having to turn off my rear 02's. I never bothered to relocate them when putting in the LT's..

gHemi, the best way to get more sound is actually to get rid of the factory cats. They muffle quite a bit over hi flo or no cats at all. You will have more idle sound and also more all-around sound. I have BBK shortys, and hi flo spun magnaflow converters on my 06 hemi ram and, and I'm actually trying to quiet mine down some. I'm getting a lot of drone under load but my idle sound is awesome. I've used dual in dual out mufflers of three different brands so far, and so far the best overall was the Magnaflow X muffler. By the way, my converters are only 4 inches long, so they will fit anywhere
